Milverton music history Thanks to your support we are now celebrating our 17th year providing top quality live music

In a back room at the Globe Inn Milverton five friends played music every Wednesday evening.  As the popularity of the sessions grew they decided that a more structured outlet was needed for both their musical talents and those of fellow musicians in the area . There are after all, only so many times you can play 12 bar blues or  "Streets of London" good song though it is.

To avoid the 'folk' 'jazz' or 'blues' label we decided to form an acoustic music club, and because the Globe didn't have the space, we began in the upper room at the White Hart Inn, (now a private dwelling) on the first Friday of the month. On the first night wives made up the audience. The second session, wives and friends, six months later we moved to a bigger venue at the back of the pub!

In 1998 after 2 very successful years we moved from the White Hart to the Victoria Rooms. We always attract large audiences for our First Friday Nights from a wide area including Taunton, Wellington, Exeter, Minehead, Bridport, Dorchester, Bridgwater & Yeovil. There is a licence for the guest nights, but on our 'First Friday' sessions, singers and audience are asked to bring their favourite tipple.

Our special guest nights have featured what can only be described as a who's who of acoustic music:-
